Photo-reactive Crosslinkers (253)

Photoreactive crosslinkers are compounds capable of triggering chemical crosslinking reactions upon exposure to light. Examples include aryl azides (AZs), benzophenones (BPs), diaziridines (DAs), and 2-aryl-5-carboxytetrazoles (ACTs). When exposed to ultraviolet light at specific wavelengths, these compounds generate intermediates such as nitrene, diradical, carbene, and carboxynitrile imine. Notably, carbene-mediated photoaffinity labeling is extensively employed in the identification of drug targets.
