P53 is an essential tumor suppressor protein integral to cell cycle regulation and genomic stability. Often called the "guardian of the genome," it prevents mutation accumulation by triggering cell cycle arrest, DNA repair, or apoptosis in response to cellular stress or DNA damage. Mutations in the P53 gene are frequently associated with numerous cancers, driving uncontrolled cell proliferation and tumor development. Targeting P53 function restoration holds great promise for advancing cancer treatment approaches.
