ADC drugs are targeted therapies created by linking monoclonal antibodies to small molecule toxins via specialized linkers. They are composed of three main components: antibodies, small molecule toxins, and linkers. Each part must possess specific characteristics: the antibody should exhibit high specificity and low immunogenicity; the linker must remain stable in the circulatory system while effectively releasing cytotoxins in the tumor microenvironment; and the small molecule toxin needs to be physiologically stable and highly potent against tumor cells. An ideal ADC drug should maintain stability in the bloodstream, precisely target the treatment site, and ultimately release cytotoxic agents near the target.
